Venture Capital AI Research Contributor

About the role

Aptura is an applied AI and data company that trains AI systems on real professional work. This role owns designing and evaluating realistic Excel tasks based on venture capital experience to test how well AI can model VC tasks from seed to growth stages.

What you'll do

• Write realistic Excel tasks drawn from your VC work, extending models and fixing broken ones
• Work through each task to establish a clear, correct answer
• Define precise yes-or-no criteria so a grader can assess attempts
• Create task briefs and input workbooks with real or public data, ensuring no AI-generated inputs

What they're looking for

• 3+ years in venture capital, startup finance or venture law covering seed to growth rounds
• Deep hands-on Excel experience with cap tables, SAFE and note conversions, liquidation preferences, nested formulas and named ranges
• Strong written English communication and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn concepts in AI and evaluations
