Software Engineer, Computer Vision

About the role

CircuitHub is building a factory-scale robotics platform for electronics manufacturing. This role owns delivering production-grade computer vision solutions that inspect boards, align placements, and build data loops to improve throughput and reliability.

What you'll do

• Inspect boards and improve automated optical inspection for missing, rotated, or poorly placed parts and solder defects.
• Train and deploy models to locate parts in bins, centre them on nozzles, and handle clumped drops.
• Develop fiducial detection, calibration, and image alignment at sub-millimetre precision.
• Design data collection and labeling tooling, turning operator verdicts into training data.
• Work with high-speed cameras and GPU capture pipelines to approach real-time vision.
• Measure production accuracy, identify error sources, and validate changes against prior results.

What they're looking for

• Shipped computer vision into production beyond a notebook.
• Strong software engineering in Python, C++ or similar language.
• Experience with classical vision methods and deep learning, knowing when to use each.
• Bonus for experience with industrial or machine-vision cameras.
• Ability to own the full development cycle, from tooling to deployment.
• Familiarity with OpenCV, PyTorch and related tools; GPU acceleration experience a plus.
