Senior Manager, Emergency Cash Delivery

About the role

GiveDirectly is scaling its emergency response operations to reach more people, faster, with cash in the wake of crises. As a Senior Manager on the Delivery team, you will mentor Delivery Managers and surge roster members, contribute to the strategic direction of the team, and serve in assigned functional roles during responses. This role does not currently carry direct line management responsibility, though this may be added as the team scales.

What you'll do

• Mentor and train Delivery Managers and surge roster members on response systems and tools.
• Evaluate learning opportunities and develop team members against performance indicators.
• Support quality assurance to ensure consistent operational standards.
• Contribute to strategic vision and readiness of the surge roster.
• Define and track operational efficiency metrics to drive improvement.
• During responses, serve in a functional role and coordinate deployment and documentation.

What they're looking for

• 5-7+ years in problem solving, team management, cross-functional collaboration or business development; humanitarian experience preferred.
• 3-5+ years mentoring teams and measuring performance growth.
• Analytical problem solving with prioritization and ability to structure ambiguous problems.
• Strong project management with multiple workstreams and high-quality output.
• Strong communication skills across speaking, writing, presenting, and negotiating.
• English fluency; additional languages such as French, Portuguese, or Arabic are a plus.
