Quality Assurance Manager, International

About the role

Grüns is building its first dedicated international quality function. You will own the quality system for markets outside the US, including EU compliance, product release, complaints and adverse events, and oversight of external manufacturers and 3PL partners. The role focuses on establishing and running processes to keep international markets compliant and running smoothly.

What you'll do

• Release finished products after verifying specs, COAs, manufacturing docs, deviations, and market-specific requirements
• Own consumer complaint intake and triage across levels 1-3
• Build and run traceability, recalls, mock recalls, complaints, adverse events, and food safety incident processes for EU products
• Own supplier and contract manufacturer qualification including Quality Agreements, audits, CAPAs/SCARs, deviations, change controls, investigations, and performance monitoring
• Run testing programs and oversee third-party labs for microbiological, chemical, allergen, stability, and related analyses
• Assess quality and regulatory risk for changes in formulation, ingredients, suppliers, specs, packaging, or labeling before release

• Minimum 5 years of quality assurance experience in food, beverage, dietary supplement, or consumer health with international exposure
• Hands-on EU and international quality experience across multiple regulatory jurisdictions
• Working knowledge of EU food and supplement quality requirements, GMP, HACCP, traceability, recalls, allergen management, and labeling oversight
• Proven ownership of CAPAs, investigations, root cause analysis, document control, and change control
• Experience auditing and managing external manufacturers and co-packers
• Comfort working across US, UK/EU, and Asia time zones with a distributed team
