About the role

The role supports Evidence Action Nigeria in strengthening relationships with government stakeholders and advancing evidence based policy change. It conducts policy research, coordinates government engagements, and develops communication materials to translate evidence into actionable policy insights for Nigerian policymakers.

What you'll do

• Conduct desktop policy research on relevant Nigerian policies, programs, and legislation
• Review and synthesize policy documents to identify opportunities for evidence based advocacy
• Prepare policy briefs and background notes with recommendations for stakeholders
• Coordinate meetings and engagement activities with government officials, ministries, and agencies
• Develop briefing materials, talking points, and presentations for policy dialogues
• Maintain stakeholder mapping and update leadership on government changes

• About two years of experience in policy research, stakeholder engagement, or related roles
• Experience persuading and driving outcomes in a commercial or development context is acceptable
• Ability to conduct desktop research, summarize findings, and prepare clear briefs
• Strong coordination skills to organize meetings and manage follow ups
• Excellent written and verbal communication with professional presentation materials
• Ability to work with government officials and navigate bureaucratic processes
