Fleet Officer

About the role

MAX is building a large Africa wide mobility platform focused on vehicle subscriptions, EV adoption, and supporting drivers and transport operators. The Fleet Officer owns the setup, maintenance, refurbishment, quality assurance, and security of the fleet within their jurisdiction, ensuring assets receive routine maintenance and refurbishment meets standards and cost targets.

What you'll do

• Test vehicles before maintenance to determine repair needs
• Follow up on repairs to ensure spare parts are used appropriately
• Collaborate with the vehicle maintenance manager to improve checklists and routines
• Periodically visit Authorized Service Workshops to verify maintenance standards
• Inspect and test vehicles after maintenance to confirm necessary repairs
• Assist in vehicle refurbishment assessment and ensure refurbished vehicles meet standards

• Good understanding of inventory control principles and practices
• Proficient in MS Office or Google Workspace
• Understanding of fleet management concepts
• Critical and analytical thinking with accuracy and attention to detail
