Cards Operation Manager

About the role

Renmoney uses debit and credit card products and this role oversees end to end card operations, ensuring stability, compliance, accurate settlement and a positive cardholder experience. The role coordinates with internal teams, card schemes, processors and service providers to deliver reliable card products and operations.

What you'll do

• Manage end to end card operations including issuance, personalisation, activation, processing, reconciliation and dispute management
• Ensure regulatory and card scheme compliance with CBN, NIBSS and schemes such as Mastercard, Verve, Visa and AfriGO
• Oversee card issuance, inventory, personalisation and distribution with service level targets
• Oversee daily reconciliation of card transactions and resolve discrepancies with Finance and Risk teams
• Strengthen fraud prevention, monitoring and incident response in collaboration with Risk and Information Security
• Manage cardholder disputes, chargebacks and investigations in line with scheme rules

What they're looking for

• Experience in card operations, reconciliation, settlement or disputes within a financial services environment
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and card schemes including Mastercard, Verve, Visa and AfriGO
• Strong vendor and partner management with service level agreement oversight
• Ability to analyse operational data, identify issues and implement corrective actions
• Collaborative skills to work with Risk, Fraud, Compliance, Tech and Customer Experience teams
• Attention to detail and process improvement mindset for card issuance and processing
