Senior Principal, Sales Compensation Design & Strategy

About the role

Cloudflare is building a better Internet with AI‑native GTM and compensation design for a developer and AI‑driven business. This role owns the design and management of Cloudflare's Sales Compensation Plans across customer facing teams and interfaces with executive leadership to align incentives with strategy.

What you'll do

• Lead the Sales Compensation Design Process with the Executive Steering Committee and C‑level stakeholders
• Architect new compensation metrics aligned with a developer platform and AI product strategy
• Create a multi‑year roadmap for the Sales Compensation function
• Build an AI native framework for plan modeling, payout forecasting, and what‑if analysis
• Develop AI powered pay‑for‑performance reporting for executives, managers, and sellers
• Collaborate across GTM Strategy, Operations, Finance, HR, IT, and Product to deploy plans

What they're looking for

• 15+ years in Sales Compensation Design in tech or as a management consultant
• Demonstrated fluency with AI tools and AI augmented workflows in compensation design or analytics
• Experience shaping compensation philosophy, governance, and executive level storytelling
• Strong skills in metrics design for SaaS, consumption, adoption, and multi‑product sales
• Track record of delivering scalable compensation programs across global teams
