About the role

EY Nigeria provides Financial Accounting Advisory Services FAAS with a focus on IFRS, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements. This role leads client engagements, mentors staff, and delivers complex accounting advisory work for financial services clients from Lagos.

What you'll do

• Manage client opportunities and maintain trusted client relationships.
• Respond to ongoing ad hoc technical accounting queries.
• Mentor junior engagement team members and guide senior management on engagements.
• Lead engagements on new accounting standards such as IFRS 17 and related reporting tasks.
• Write and review client reports analyzing fact patterns and information.
• Identify business development opportunities and maintain internal and external networks.

• Degree in accounting or related field and professional qualification ICAN, ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting advisory or technical accounting within financial services.
• Strong technical knowledge of IAS 32, IFRS 9, IFRS 7, IFRS 17 and other relevant standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to manage projects, drive results, and lead teams in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to identify opportunities and pursue client solutions with a collaborative mindset.
