Senior Accountant (EMEA)

About the role

Oyster is a global employment platform that enables companies to hire, pay, and care for talent anywhere. This role owns day to day accounting, monthly reporting, and ERP activities for Oyster entities with a focus on EMEA, including close, audits, and intercompany processes.

What you'll do

• Manage full cycle accounting and intercompany transactions for global subsidiaries
• Prepare and review financial statements and balance-sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities with clear checklists and documentation
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual local statutory filings and provide support packages
• Oversee local statutory audits and respond to auditor questions and adjustments
• Proactively coordinate dependencies across Finance, Payroll, Tax, Legal, and external partners

• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 1 year in a senior-accountant scope
• CPA or part-qualified or equivalent professional qualification
• Strong knowledge of multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, financial reporting, reconciliations, close, and audit support
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and large dataset handling
• Meticulous attention to detail and evidence-based problem solving
• Strong written and spoken English with effective asynchronous stakeholder management
