Lead Auditor, Data & Analytics (Group Internal Audit)

About the role

Flutterwave builds payment infrastructure for African and international users. The Data Analytics Lead for the Group Internal Audit Function owns the data platform, AI-powered monitoring, and live dashboards that enable continuous assurance across payments and banking operations.

What you'll do

• Design and deliver the data layer for continuous assurance with read-only production data access.
• Build and operate AI-powered monitoring agents for high-value use cases such as settlements, revenue assurance, API integrity, and vendor spend.
• Create and maintain the live Assurance Dashboard detailing risks, revenue leakage, findings, remediation status, and fraud trends.
• Assess data quality, lineage, ownership, and ensure data protection, privacy, and residency requirements are embedded in pipelines.
• Baseline and track outcome KPIs and translate analytics into quantified business value reported to leadership weekly.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Product and IT to enable continuous assurance while preserving Audit independence.

• Bachelor's in data science, CS, engineering, statistics, finance, or related field.
• 7+ years building data pipelines, analytics, or automation in financial services, payments, or data-intensive environments.
• Strong SQL and Python, experience with a modern data stack, cloud data warehouses, orchestration tools, and BI dashboards.
• Hands-on experience building anomaly detection, reconciliation, or monitoring on large transaction datasets.
• Experience applying AI or LLM-based tools to real business problems with testing and validation.
• Knowledge of controls, risk, and assurance concepts from audit, risk, finance, or compliance.
