Intermediate Fullstack Engineer, Subscription Lifecycle

About the role

GitLab is an intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps that aims to accelerate software delivery while managing security and compliance. This role owns the frontend and backend work for the post-purchase subscription lifecycle within the Monetization team, including renewal, billing accounts, and related customer experiences.

What you'll do

• Design and build fullstack features for the post-purchase subscription journey
• Contribute to technical design and implementation of new subscription lifecycle capabilities
• Collaborate with Product and Design to translate requirements into robust solutions
• Integrate subscription workflows with billing, customer accounts, and admin systems
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
• Identify technical debt and reduce architectural risk in the subscription lifecycle

• Professional experience as a fullstack engineer with frontend and backend work
• Experience with Ruby on Rails and Vue.js
• Experience owning technical direction for a product area
• Experience with transactional or checkout style flows, ideally in billing or ecommerce
• Familiarity with third party billing or CRM systems is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote, asynchronous environment
