About the role

Alpaca is a US headquartered, global leader in agent-first brokerage infrastructure for stocks, ETFs, options, crypto, fixed income, and more. The Financial Risk Manager owns the development and day-to-day execution of liquidity risk monitoring, intraday stress testing, and related governance, building the liquidity risk infrastructure from the ground up.

What you'll do

• Build and own daily liquidity reporting and data pipelines across products and entities
• Develop intraday liquidity monitoring and early warning indicators
• Design and implement intraday and longer-term stress testing capabilities
• Run Monte Carlo simulations and manage scenario design and results
• Create alerting frameworks and controls to support Treasury decisions
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data, Risk, and Operations to automate reporting workflows

• Experience building liquidity risk reporting, monitoring, and stress testing capabilities
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, and BI platforms for data automation
• Strong understanding of broker-dealer liquidity requirements and regulatory rules
• Ability to design and implement Monte Carlo and other advanced stress testing methods
• Collaborative mindset to work with Treasury, Risk, Engineering, and Operations
• Analytical, hands-on contributor with potential for leadership as the function matures
