Facilities Manager

About the role

The company operates a manufacturing plant and oversees plant utilities, grounds and support services. This role owns housekeeping, waste management, vendor management and compliance for facilities at the site in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

What you'll do

• Enforce cleanliness and hygiene standards across the plant, offices, canteen, restrooms and common areas
• Manage cleaning schedules, rosters, supplies and equipment; conduct inspections and corrective actions
• Oversee pest control and fumigation programmes
• Coordinate waste management, liaise with LAWMA and waste contractors, maintain permits and records
• Identify, onboard and manage facilities vendors; negotiate SLAs and verify invoices
• Enforce health, safety and regulatory compliance, including fire safety and emergency plans

What they're looking for

• BSc or HND in Facilities Management, Engineering, Estate Management, Environmental Management or related field
• 7+ years in facilities management with at least 3 in supervisory or managerial roles, manufacturing or plant experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of plant maintenance, utilities and housekeeping standards
• Experience dealing with LAWMA, LASEPA and Lagos State regulators
• Contract negotiation, vendor performance management, budgeting and cost control
• Leadership, communication and problem solving; proficiency with MS Office
