Based in Nigeria, not fully remote. Hybrid: you split the week between home and the employer's office in Nigeria.
Read from the listing itself, not guessed. “Remote” does not always mean any country, so confirm with the recruiter.
Credit Direct Finance Company Limited, a CBN-regulated financial services company within FCMB Group, is establishing Sharp Cash as a dedicated digital consumer lending business. With its own brand and app, Sharp Cash is intended to compete in the fast-moving market for accessible, short-duration personal credit.
The Business Head will be entrusted with building the business proposition, scaling customer acquisition, developing a disciplined credit and collections engine, and delivering sustainable risk-adjusted returns. The role combines the freedom to build with access to the resources and governance of an established institution.
Sharp Cash will begin as an autonomous business unit, not a separate legal entity, with identifiable financial performance and a long-term ambition to create measurable standalone economic value.
WHY WE ARE CREATING THIS OPPORTUNITY
Sharp Cash is a standalone digital lending brand and mobile experience being established within Credit Direct, distinct from LOTA in the Credit Direct app. Its ambition is to serve digitally active consumers through responsible, convenient and competitively positioned credit.
We are adopting a different operating model: a clearly accountable business leader, dedicated execution capacity, defined decision rights and transparent commercial reporting, supported by Credit Direct’s funding, technology and control infrastructure.
This is also a deliberate step in our evolution from building strong products to building businesses that scale. Sharp Cash will help us test a repeatable model of entrepreneurial accountability and measurable economic value.

Person specification
Leadership DNA: the 6Es
We seek leaders who embody Credit Direct’s 6Es: Excellence, Execution, Empathy, Entrepreneurial Mindset, Energy and Evolution.
In practice, that means setting a high bar, taking ownership, understanding the customer, moving with urgency, learning from evidence, developing others and delivering responsibly.
Measures of success
Early progress will be assessed through readiness to launch and learn, the quality of the team and controls, acquisition and conversion performance, emerging repayment vintages, repeat borrowing, customer experience and risk-adjusted unit economics. Specific performance targets will be agreed through the approved business plan.
A competitive executive compensation package will reflect the scope, accountability and long-term opportunity of the appointment, in line with Credit Direct’s remuneration framework. Applications and enquiries will be handled confidentially through the appointed search process.
