Backend Engineer, Core APIs

About the role

Fingerprint enables enterprises to detect and stop online fraud with device intelligence. This role focuses on building scalable backend systems and real-time data processing for our API team, owning features from concept to deployment. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver reliable, high performance backend services.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and optimize backend systems for real-time data processing and web services.
• Build and scale API components and microservices to ensure performance and reliability.
• Research root causes of problematic features, run experiments, and translate findings into engineering improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotations, perform performance tuning, debugging, and testing.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

• 2+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong experience with GoLang and or Node.js, with a willingness to learn.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, APIs, real-time data processing, and microservices architectures.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with DynamoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency with Git, IDEs, shell scripting, and CI/CD; excellent English communication; ability to work independently and in a team.
