Payroll Systems Analyst

About the role

Wave Mobile Money is building financial services to increase cashless access across Africa. The Payroll Systems Analyst will bridge Payroll, People and Finance teams and design tools that handle multi-country payroll, currencies and local requirements.

What you'll do

• Define and strengthen payroll team ways of working and document processes
• Map payroll flows across markets, identify manual or risky steps, and align standards with local needs
• Own design and delivery of an internal payroll to finance reconciliation tool
• Automate data ingestion from payroll providers and HRIS, and develop exception reporting
• Provide core payroll systems support and stabilize HRIS to payroll data flows
• Develop payroll reporting and dashboards for decision making

What they're looking for

• 3+ years in HRIS, payroll operations, or payroll systems in multi-country setups
• Experience reconciling payroll to the general ledger, including cost mapping and accruals
• Ability to work with in-country payroll providers and manage data flows between HRIS and payroll
• Strong data quality, auditing, and reporting skills for payroll data
• Fluent in English and French
