About the role
Clera is building autonomous drone systems for delivery and field operations. This role owns the design, integration, and validation of robot mechanisms, sensors, and flight software from prototype through field testing.
What you'll do
- Design and integrate robotic mechanisms, sensors, actuators, controllers, and drone payload systems
- Develop control, navigation, path planning, and obstacle avoidance solutions
- Program robotics software with ROS or ROS 2 and C++ or Python
- Validate solutions in simulation and through field tests
- Integrate flight controllers, companion computers, communication links, and telemetry
- Analyze flight logs and sensor data to troubleshoot and improve prototypes

- At least 2 years of hands on experience in robotics, UAV systems, or autonomous systems
- Strong foundations in kinematics, dynamics, control theory, PID, and system integration
- Proficiency in C++ or Python, ROS or ROS 2, and Linux; familiarity with MATLAB
- Practical experience with PX4 or ArduPilot, MAVLink, motors, ESCs, batteries, and flight controllers
- Knowledge of IMU, GPS or RTK, LiDAR, sensor fusion, and GPS dened navigation
- Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi or Jetson, actuators, and hardware debugging
