Director, Global Human Resources (Remote)

About the role

Percona operates with a globally distributed workforce. The Director of Global HR ensures core HR functions run seamlessly from onboarding to offboarding, serving staff, contractors, and managers across about 50 countries for fewer than 400 staff. The role reports to the SVP of Global HR and partners with Talent Acquisition and Learning Development.

What you'll do

• Lead day-to-day Core HR operations and manage a small global team with accountability and empowerment.
• Build trusted relationships with directors and executive leaders, guiding sustainable change with sound HR judgment.
• Navigate staff relations matters, performance issues, and investigations with fairness and discretion.
• Oversee the global staff lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, coordinating with Talent Acquisition for smooth transitions.
• Lead core HR programs including compensation, leaves, policy communications, benefits, HR systems, and data analytics to drive efficiency.

• 8-12 years of progressive HR experience, including at least five years in an HR leadership role supporting a global workforce.
• Experience in a globally distributed organization with a significant US staff population.
• Broad HR generalist experience across staff relations, benefits, compensation, performance management, compliance, and HR operations.
• Experience leading and developing HR staff and contributing to Learning Development programs.
• Strong HR systems, reporting, process improvement, and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field or equivalent experience.
