What we do & why
Cold outbound is collapsing - and the way sales has been done for decades is being dragged along with it. AI & automation have made sending emails free & easy, which means everyone’s inbox is now full of garbage. In this world, relationships become exponentially more important.
Because who you know dictates who you can sell to.
Draftboard is the world’s first autonomous warm-intro engine - it identifies who in your network is best positioned to make an intro to your prospects. And early users are already telling us it’s the most effective outreach tool they’ve ever used.
The spark is there. Now we need to nurture it with even more incredible engineers.
We’re looking for an experienced Backend Engineer who enjoys autonomy, solves problems end-to-end, and moves fast in a small startup team.
Tech Stack
Service-oriented / microservices architecture
Node.js (NestJS), Go, a bit of Python
PostgreSQL as the primary database
gRPC for internal service communication
Hosted on Google Cloud Platform
Integrations with AI assistants and AI agent systems
Client applications: Next.js web app + Chrome Extension
What You’ll Do
Build and evolve backend services & APIs powering Draftboard’s AI-driven networking experience
Design and implement new product functionality end-to-end
Improve, refactor and support existing services
Collaborate closely with the team and contribute to product decisions
Own solutions from idea to deployment with minimal supervision
Requirements
Russian speakerhighly preferred (English level B1+)
Strong experience with Node.js (NestJS) and Go
Practical experience with AI developer tooling (CLI tools, Codex-style models, AI IDEs like Cursor, etc.)
Understanding of distributed / service-oriented architectures
Familiarity with Docker, basic CI/CD, and cloud environments (GCP preferred)
Ability to independently break down, design and deliver features
Experience or interest in working with AI agents/assistants
Comfortable working fully remote and communicating proactively
Why Draftboard
Because this is the moment. We just launched our warm-intro engine, and the early traction signals are unmistakable. The product works. Users love it. The category is wide open.
We’re backed by Twelve Below, Founder Collective, Ground Up, Animo, and founders of Handy, Alma, Accrue, Dispatch, Vivian Health, B12, Lev, Fondue, Sense360, BackEngine and more.
