About the role
FairMoney is a mobile banking platform focused on extending credit to emerging markets. This role owns, improves, and operationalises the NPV and unit economics framework to become a core operating system for decision making across pricing, risk, and growth. You will be the single source of truth on value creation versus value destruction and the economic impact of risk, pricing, and growth decisions in a high growth, high pressure environment.
What you'll do
- Own, audit, and improve NPV and unit economics models across lending products, ensuring consistent assumptions and decision-ready outputs for pricing, credit cut-offs, and capital allocation.
- Build frameworks to measure performance versus expected outcomes across products, cohorts, credit policies, pricing strategies, and experiments; feed insights back into risk and pricing decisions.
- Partner with Risk, Data Science, Product, and Growth to define NPV hypotheses, measure incremental economic value, and identify initiatives to scale, improve, or stop.
- Translate complex economic analysis into clear trade-offs and provide credible insights to senior leadership, challenging models and decisions when economics do not support them.
- Embed NPV thinking in credit policy reviews, risk governance, pricing and limit discussions, and planning cycles, while setting standards for transparency and documentation.
- Raise the analytical bar by maintaining high ownership and integrity, staying adaptable under pressure, and contributing to FairMoney’s mission of responsible credit access.
What they're looking for
- Strong experience in unit economics, NPV, LTV, or portfolio profitability in lending, fintech, banking, or adjacent sectors.
- Deep understanding of credit economics and how risk, pricing, tenure, and behaviour interact.
- Proven track record of measuring expected vs actual outcomes.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders using data and logic.
- High ownership mindset with bias toward action.
