Head of Sales Network - Jumia (Full Time)

About the role

Jumia is a leading pan-African e-commerce platform. This role owns developing and executing strategic plans for market expansion and establishing relationships with key stakeholders to drive growth in new markets. It also involves collaborating with cross functional teams to align expansion efforts and manage resources.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute strategic market expansion plans and entry strategies.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and assess regulatory environments.
• Identify and prioritize target markets based on size, growth potential, competition, and alignment with company objectives.
• Develop and implement market entry plans including segmentation, target customer profiling, distribution channel strategies, pricing, and promotions.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, distributors, suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Monitor performance, track progress against goals, manage budgets, and report to senior management.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in market expansion, business development, or related roles with a proven track record.
• Strong analytical skills in market research, competitive analysis, and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with internal teams and external partners.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in international market expansion is preferred.
