SN - Inventory Manager - Jumia ( Full - Time )

About the role

Jumia is a leading pan-African e-commerce platform. The Inventory Manager role owns ensuring inventory accuracy, stock integrity, and optimal space utilization across all fulfillment centers. This position serves as the primary guardian of physical stock, aligning system records with actual quantities and minimizing discrepancies.

What you'll do

• Execute inventory audit programs: design and execute daily cycle counts, wall-to-wall stock counts, and periodic audits across all warehouse locations.
• Investigate stock variances: analyze root causes of discrepancies, losses, and shrinkage, implementing preventative actions.
• Stock aging and capacity planning: oversee aging management, slotting, putaway strategies, and storage capacity optimization.
• Inventory disposition: partner with Commercial, Inbound and Outbound teams to manage disposal or liquidation of slow-moving, expired, or damaged inventory.
• Process compliance: ensure adherence to Warehouse Management System processes, SOPs, and internal audit guidelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or Finance.
• 4+ years of inventory control and warehouse management experience in e-commerce, retail, or FMCG.
• High proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems, ERP tools, and data analytics (Excel; SQL a plus).
• Proven track record of inventory accuracy above 99% and effective shrinkage controls.
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and people management capabilities.
