The Structural Engineer will support Professional Engineers by performing structural analysis, developing calculations, and applying code compliant load math to heavy industrial structures, then translating conclusions into Tekla Structures drawings to keep drafting aligned with the design.
What you'll do
- Perform structural analysis of heavy industrial structures including load path, wind, and seismic evaluation.
- Develop engineering calculations for steel structures, equipment supports, and foundations applying AISC and IBC code requirements.
- Build structural models using RISA-3D (preferred) or RAM, Robot, SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.
- Draft structural steel and concrete drawings using Tekla Structures and AutoCAD; review for accuracy and constructability.
- Collaborate with internal engineers and client teams to meet project requirements and coordinate on deliverables.
- Support multiple projects while maintaining quality and schedule commitments, and organize project files and documentation.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience with demonstrated analysis and engineering calculations.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and strong written and verbal English communication; ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience with one or more analysis and drafting tools: RISA-3D (preferred) plus RAM, Robot, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD or similar; Tekla Structures experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of structural steel design and load path / physics fundamentals; knowledge of concrete foundation design and structural connections is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. standards including AISC, IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318; OSHA requirements for industrial structures.
