This Senior Site Reliability Engineer role owns the reliability of Moniepoint’s highly distributed platform, defining SLOs, leading incident response, and building automation and self-healing capabilities.
What you'll do
- Participate in on-call rotations as the primary technical lead
- Act as the Incident Commander during major severity incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams and providing status updates
- Instrument code to expose high-cardinality metrics and distributed traces
- Collaboratively define, measure, and defend SLOs and error budgets with product owners
- Write production-ready code in Java, Go, or Python to build internal tooling and self-healing automation
- Partner with Product Engineering to ensure reliability patterns are built into new services from day one
