Quality Assurance Analyst (Senior Associate)

About the role

Moniepoint Inc. is Africa’s all-in-one financial platform serving 20 million businesses and individuals with payments, banking, credit, cross-border, and business management tools. As Nigeria’s largest merchant acquirer, Moniepoint powers most of the country’s POS transactions. The Senior QA Engineer role plays an important part in our product development process and will own testing to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs while controlling costs.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and design specifications.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy and detailed test plans.
• Author functional and integration test cases and coordinate reviews with stakeholders.
• Execute test cases, publish test reports, and communicate results to product and business stakeholders.
• Track quality metrics such as defect density and test coverage.
• Design and develop a robust test automation approach and own testing scripts.

What they're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript, or JavaScript with a focus on test automation.
• Experience testing APIs, microservices, mobile native, and web applications.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL databases, and pub-sub technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing tools such as Jira, Postman, Playwright or Selenium.
