Inkomoko supports entrepreneurs to grow their businesses across East and Central Africa, helping communities build inclusive, resilient economies. The role will lead the Circular Economy Pilot with 15 refugee-led organizations in Kenya and Ethiopia and help build Inkomoko’s climate, ESG, and enterprise-development capabilities for broader impact.
What you'll do
- Lead the Circular Economy Pilot end to end with 15 refugee-led organizations, from design to implementation.
- Help RLOs identify viable climate-smart, income-generating opportunities and develop proposals including business models, implementation plans, financing requirements, risks, and timelines.
- Work with Investment and relevant Inkomoko teams to assess interventions and facilitate appropriate financing; provide technical oversight during implementation.
- Develop practical climate and circular economy content, tools, workflows, and guidance to embed into Inkomoko programs; train staff to deliver them.
- Lay the foundations for climate ESG integration by mapping capabilities, data needs, partnerships, and governance; create an institutional roadmap and playbook.
- Build partnerships with technical experts, financial institutions, governments, funders, and ecosystem actors to support scale and learning.
