HIV Clinical Services Officer

About the role

Amref Health Africa Tanzania is a non-profit public health organization that supports the government of Tanzania to address public health issues, including HIV. The HIV Clinical Services Officer will help deliver high quality HIV care and treatment services and strengthen the treatment cascade to achieve viral suppression. The role requires close collaboration with CHMTs, health facilities, and community partners to ensure integrated, data-driven care that meets MOH and PEPFAR priorities.

What you'll do

• Support the provision of comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and treatment services per national guidelines.
• Ensure effective implementation of the clinical cascade from case identification to viral suppression.
• Facilitate integration of Advanced HIV Disease services, CD4 testing, and screenings for hypertension, diabetes, hepatitis and mental health into HIV care.
• Provide technical support and oversight to healthcare providers on Differentiated Service Delivery Models such as same-day ART initiation and community ART refill.
• Collaborate with facility and community teams to ensure timely linkage and enrollment of newly diagnosed PLHIV into care.
• Monitor outcomes, support data reporting and lead CQI driven remediation when needed.

What they're looking for

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) from a recognized institution.
• Master’s in Public Health (MPH) or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Minimum four years of experience in HIV/AIDS clinical care, preferably within a PEPFAR-supported program.
• Proven experience working with R/CHMTs, facility teams, and partners to meet program targets.
• Strong data analysis and use for program improvement, with familiarity with DHIS2 or similar systems.
