C Developer Intern (remote work)

About the role

CloudLinux is seeking talented and motivated C Developer Interns to join our TuxCare team. As an intern at TuxCare, you will gain hands-on experience in C development and contribute to the development of our innovative projects. This internship is open within our Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) team, which delivers vulnerability patches for Linux distributions and runtimes used by enterprises.

What you'll do

• Work on real-world projects and contribute to the development of our products.
• Collaborate with our development team and learn from industry professionals.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Learn to write effective unit tests and ensure quality in software development.
• Get exposure to different areas of C development, including backend development and system programming.

What they're looking for

• Some C programming and debugging skills.
• Experience using Git for development and patch/branch management.
• Experience with GNU/Linux operating system (CLI) and shell scripting.
• Basic experience with building the Linux kernel and troubleshooting related issues.
• English proficiency at B1 level or above; self-starter who’s hungry to learn; final-year student or entry-level engineer with strong basics.
• Able to read and reason about C / systems code, reviewing and validating patches.
