Senior Software Engineer, Kubernetes

About the role

Camunda is the enterprise platform for agentic orchestration, enabling organizations to coordinate AI agents, people, and systems across complex end-to-end business processes. This role focuses on developing and maintaining Kubernetes Operators for the Camunda 8 SaaS offering to ensure cloud platform reliability. You will manage numerous customer clusters and tackle Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, and multi-cloud deployments across GCP and AWS.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain Kubernetes Operators for the Camunda 8 SaaS offering.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and field teams to define, ship, and iterate on features.
• Extend Camunda SaaS across clouds, enable multi-region deployments, and deliver security features.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve codebase for security, stability, and reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotation and 3rd level escalation support to meet objectives.

• Experience with Go or another relevant language for cloud native software development.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and a deep understanding of core concepts.
• Practical experience with at least one major Cloud Service Provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• A pragmatic and autonomous approach to programming and problem solving with a you build it, you run it mindset.
