Frontend Engineer, Payments & Risk

About the role

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses that helps them accept payments and grow revenue. This Frontend Engineer role sits within the Payments organization and collaborates with the Risk Engineering team to build consumer-focused UIs and end-to-end features that impact millions of Stripe users.

What you'll do

• Own and solve problems end-to-end across a wide range of systems and technologies.
• Build elegant APIs and user interfaces that enable merchants to run and scale on Stripe.
• Craft new products and features that impact millions of people and businesses such as the fastest and most seamless checkout flow.
• Explore opportunities for next-gen payments experiences leveraging Stripe's payment technology.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across product, design, infrastructure, marketing, and operations.
• Develop and execute against short- and long-term roadmaps and uphold engineering standards.

What they're looking for

• 2+ years of software development experience with HTML/CSS/TypeScript/React and building delightful user interfaces.
• Comfort operating as a frontend developer and owning projects end-to-end.
• Motivated by solving hard problems and measuring success in terms of impact.
• Thrive in a highly collaborative environment with diverse stakeholders.
• Preferred: experience in high-growth teams or building financial systems or tools for financial professionals.
