Engineering Manager, Agentic Commerce

About the role

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. The Agentic payments team is building new APIs and integration experiences for agentic commerce online. As an Engineering Manager on Agentic Commerce, you will shape and deliver transformative products and collaborate with product management, design, data science, and marketing to unlock opportunities for customers globally.

What you'll do

• Build full stack solutions across Stripe's ecosystem, including back end services, dashboard interfaces, money movement systems, and integrations with other Stripe primitives.
• Partner with product management and design to ship high impact features that increase user autonomy and reduce friction.
• Apply strong analytical skills to dive into data, test hypotheses, and make informed trade-offs.
• Set success metrics for the team to ensure solutions are enterprise-grade and quickly meet Stripe's reliability SLOs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across Stripe's broader platform and product teams to integrate agentic commerce capabilities seamlessly.
• Engage directly with users, particularly large enterprises, to understand their business needs and translate requirements into novel product shapes.

• 10+ years of engineering experience with a computer science background and hands-on development expertise.
• AI-native and comfortable solving problems with agentic AI tools.
• Proven experience coaching and developing senior and staff level individual contributors.
• Experience leading initiatives spanning multiple teams to influence tech roadmap planning and execution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to structure ambiguous concepts clearly.
