About the role
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. The Solutions Architecture team works with our largest, most complex users to map requirements to Stripe technology. This role partners with Sales to technically qualify new opportunities, demonstrate the art of the possible with Stripe Platform, and design robust technical solutions to enable payments, move money, and simplify financial operations.
What you'll do
- Engage with CTOs, engineering leads, and other technical leads to share roadmaps, demonstrate latest innovations, and define solution strategy.
- Lead technical discussions and deep dives with users on the value Stripe can provide.
- Advocate for your customers internally to ensure their needs are represented with product engineering and to influence direction and priorities.
- Plan and participate in quarterly business reviews, identify new opportunities, and collaborate on account planning with account teams.
- Create technical content such as reference architectures and demos, and speak as a thought leader at industry conferences.

- Minimum of 4 years of work experience in roles including pre-sales, technical architecture, technical consulting, application delivery, or technical engineering, with at least 1 year in a customer-facing pre-sales role.
- Strong technical knowledge in software architecture with breadth across technology stacks and hands-on skills; ability to explain how things work from product features and API architecture perspectives.
- Ability to write code and to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including presenting to large audiences in Italian and English.
- Experience with large enterprise customers; background in payments systems or e-commerce is a plus but not required.
