Scientific Business Analyst

About the role

Sapio Sciences is on a mission to accelerate scientific drug discovery and high throughput clinical and diagnostics. This role is an experienced Scientific Business Analyst who will consultatively define, implement and help support Sapio solutions, with a deep knowledge of LIMS, ELN and SDMS products in the laboratory setting. Location is East Coast, and the working arrangement is primarily remote with up to 30 percent travel to client sites, open to candidates in the US or the UK.

What you'll do

• Interpret customer requests and translate them into functional requirements, recognizing the distinction between user requests and underlying needs.
• Document business processes and workflows using swim lane diagrams.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the Sapio product portfolio and how it is configured; provide end user training on customized solutions.
• Configure workflows or experiments in the Sapio Platform and, when needed, create wireframe mockups.
• Document, communicate and explain technical material; perform root cause analysis and facilitate solution delivery; liaise with product to capture new customer driven features and work with the Sapio US team.

What they're looking for

• Previous experience with LIMS or ELN software.
• Life Sciences experience working within a lab, preferably introducing new IT solutions.
• BS or BA degree in Life Science or equivalent.
• Lean Six Sigma qualification.
• Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience managing external stakeholders and leading client workshops with strong communication skills.
