The Malawi role owns the full HR lifecycle, payroll and compliance, and serves as a strategic partner to the Country Director. You will design and strengthen recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff development to support a fast-growing country office while safeguarding culture and staff experience.
What you'll do
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Country Director on organisational design, workforce planning and people related risk.
- Own end-to-end recruitment for all open positions in Malawi, including defining role requirements, creating job descriptions, sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews and offers.
- Lead salary benchmarking and provide clear recommendations to keep compensation competitive, internally equitable, and aligned with local labour market realities.
- Personally manage payroll and compliance, act as the primary HR policy contact, and lead disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Design and continuously improve onboarding programs and support performance management and staff development initiatives.
- Strengthen HR systems and processes to scale with the organisation and introduce automation where appropriate.
