Head of Finance - Cyprus

About the role

Kraken is a global crypto platform and PEDSL is its Cyprus based MiFID firm. This role owns the firm's financial regulatory obligations, including financial regulatory reporting, and leads the development of PEDSL’s financial reporting and compliance capabilities, partnering with finance, tax, treasury, compliance and operations teams.

What you'll do

• Draft and enhance financial compliance policies and procedures to meet laws and regulations.
• Prepare, track and maintain key financial metrics and regulatory reports.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly financial closings and manage local entity budgets.
• Respond to finance related regulatory requests and support audits and statements.
• Coordinate with Treasury, Compliance and Legal on regulatory changes and remediation plans.
• Support license applications and renewals and oversee internal control improvements.

What they're looking for

• Expert level financial analysis and reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of financial regulatory requirements and compliance.
• 12-15 years experience in financial analysis, regulatory reporting, or similar role.
• 3-5 years experience in fintech or a relevant industry.
• Experience with MiFID II and related custodial/safeguarding requirements.
• ACA or other relevant certification and ability to work independently.
