Hardware Engineer

About the role

Moniepoint is Africa’s all-in-one financial platform serving 20 million businesses and individuals with payments, banking, credit and management tools. The Hardware Engineer in the Repair Centre is the technical authority embedded in the centre, bridging hands-on repair operations and engineering level quality governance. You will ensure every repaired terminal leaving the centre is fit for redeployment, drive technician capability, and root out quality issues.

What you'll do

• Design electronic hardware circuits and ensure they meet specifications.
• Design printed circuit board PCB layouts as specified.
• Create and maintain parts lists, bills of materials and related engineering data.
• Develop processes and procedures to train technicians to repair to required standards.
• Create and update repair procedures and conduct product and tool testing.
• Document repair results and collaborate with repair technicians and cross functional teams.

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics or related field preferred.
• Experience in terminal repair is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and solid data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive approach.
