Administration & Security Officer

About the role

Reporting to the Regional Senior Manager, the successful candidate will ensure effective administrative, facilities and security services across Malawi by overseeing general office administration, workplace security and safety, and improving facility management standards. The role involves collaborating across departments to enable smooth operations.

What you'll do

• Oversee office facilities management to maintain standards with timely, cost effective repairs and maintenance.
• Manage workplace health, safety and cleanliness and ensure staff complete mandatory health, safety and security training.
• Supervise and develop support services staff including coaching, performance appraisal and rota management.
• Manage procurement, asset and capex activities including negotiating purchases and controlling spend against budgets.
• Ensure effective delivery of office support services and maintain compliance with policies, audits and regulatory requirements while supporting risk management and events.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field; security management or criminal justice qualification is a plus.
• At least five years of relevant work experience.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and strong attention to detail.
• Discreet, trustworthy and able to work with multiple stakeholders as a team player.
